A day in the life of Melanie consists of her going to her Media Arts and Design classes, and then meeting up with friends to do homework. She describes herself as a technologically savvy person and she is frequently seen on her phone. On weekends, she enjoys going to downtown to eat with her friends.

She gets quite frustrated that when she goes into downtown Harrisonburg to eat, there is always a long wait for a table. She wishes that there was a place that she go look at on her phone to see the wait times of different restaurants in downtown. She thinks that it would also be helpful if the app would also let her see the number of people in the restaurant and let her make a reservation. This will allow her to not waste her time driving into downtown Harrisonburg and then not being able to find a place to sit down and eat with her friends.

John is a Sophomore at James Madison University. He loves anything having to do with technology, hence why he chose to be a CIS major. Although he loves all types of technology, his favorite is his mobile device because it is convenient.

On the few occasions that he finds himself in downtown Harrisonburg, he gets frustrated that after he finally finds a parking spot, he then finds out the restaurant he wants to eat at has a long wait

His goal is to have an app that makes sure to keep updated wait times for restaurants in downtown Harrisonburg.

He is tired of not being able to see how full restaurants are before he gets there. John also thinks it would be helpful to include a feature that enables him to see a distinction between available dining room and bar seats. He needs this option because sometimes he just wants to eat and not sit at the bar. He looks forward to being able to see how busy Billy Jacks is so he can get some sticky nuggets.
